Anyone can make a difference, no matter how young or old. Varsha, a high school senior, took this to heart and set out to bring a positive change to her community. After volunteering multiple times at our Richardson location, she was inspired to bring FMSC to her own neighborhood.

Varsha fell in love with FMSC’s mission after being introduced to it in middle school. She even celebrated her 12th birthday by getting her family and friends together to pack meals. Her love for the cause only grew — so much so that she started the Feed My Starving Children Club at her local Dallas high school.

With the help of her mom and some friends, Varsha worked hard to meet all the requirements and put together her very own MobilePack. In the end, she managed to rally over 500 volunteers to pack more than 101,000 meals at the school's first MobilePack event — which means over 276 kids received a daily meal for an entire year.

Her passion and determination to feed kids was evident and inspiring. Just like Varsha, you can also make a big difference in the lives of children around the world. Use our Impact Calculator to see how far your generosity can go
